Intro post

My name is Jo, I'm 31, and from Essex. I have joined this community through theladiesloos

I have lost 3 1/2 stone in the last 6 months or so, partly by doing the slimfast plan and also sticking to the following rules:

~ no bread (apart from wholemeal pitta bread occasionally)
~ no junk food
~ minimal carbs
~ no alcohol
~ try not to eat after 6pm apart from fruit and vegetables

I also try and go to the gym or do a class every day - mainly body combat and body pump.

I have achieved my target weight of 9 1/2 stone (I'm 5 foot 5 1/2 inches), and now have to work out how to maintain my new weight. I have spent the last 15 years yo-yo dieting, but this time I am determined to maintain this weight, and for the first time, I think its feasable as I do actually enjoy the classes I do at the gym.

I know Christmas is coming up, and I am going to indulge, but only a little bit, and I'm making a determined effort not to buy in too much junk, no tins of Celebrations or Roses this year, and definately no luxury yule logs! Plus I'll be back at the gym when it opens on January 27th!

I must admit though to having the scary thought once in a while of how much lower can I go, and that does worry me at times.
